The Foundation Orchestra Association (FOA) in Reno, Nevada, was founded in 2001 to ensure and support the annual performances and community outreach of The Foundation Orchestra, which is the official orchestra of the Andean Explorers Foundation & Ocean Sailing Club. The mission of the Foundation Orchestra Association is to sustain the life and the tradition of The Foundation Orchestra by working to support its continuing development through fund raising, promotion and planning, and by encouraging excellence in programming and performance with the ultimate goal of reaching the Orchestra?s objectives.

FOA is a division of the Andean Explorers Foundation & Ocean Sailing Club, a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation.
All officers are non-salaried, and board members volunteer their services as contributions.

FOA is proud to be licensed by BMI and ASCAP and to be a member of
the American Symphony Orchestra League (ASOL) and the Sierra Arts Foundation.
